Hand-made collectible baseball card
Set of 15

The 1911 Turkey Red T3 is one of the finest sets you'll ever come across. The portraits on these oversized cards were gorgeous in color, and surrounded by a decorative frame that resembled a cabinet door. Thus, the set has earned the nickname of "Cabinets" from collectors.

These historic relics from the dead ball era played an important role in the game's growth during a time that lacked multimedia. Few could make it to the ballpark in person, so these cards provided what might be the only real connection between a fan and a ballplayer.

This set gets re-imagined in Americana with my red, white and blue brush strokes. Each portrait is labeled on the back for clarity, in a gothic-style font resembling the era, and signed in a matching white ink. Also included with this set is a framed uncut piece of Ty Cobb. Additional signed, uncut pieces with ship with the order.

A stroke of popness!

My brush stroke series is inspired by Andy Warhol's screen print process, in which he combined hand-painted backgrounds with photographic silkscreens.

  • These art cards are created using a heavy 75pt black stock.
